Afternoon Ride is one of the first paintings I created for my VIEWS FROM MY BIKE collection. This past spring, late in March when the roads weren't yet clear enough of snow to ride, I made this painting based on sketches and memories of longer rides around Steamboat up to Hahn's Peak. This painting tells the story of those rides and what it feels like to be out riding Steamboat gravel.
